Kenya Airways and IATA have a cordial working relationship with regards to improving the training standards in the aviation industry in Africa as a whole. This is in line with Kenya Airway’s core purpose of contributing to the sustainable development of Africa

In June 2009 , Kenya Airways and IATA formalized their first training partnership (IATA Regional Training Partner). In 2011 & May 2013 Kenya Airways signed another agreement on the IATA Approved Training Centre (ATC) and IATA Approved Training School for Dangerous Goods respectively.
